Safer Internet Armenia 

Armenia joined Safer Internet Day worldwide celebrations since 2009.   Activities have been coordinated by Media Education Center  with support of Microsoft Corporation in Armenia.

Our activities are aimed to empower citizens to use the Internet and mobile technologies safely and creatively. Our aim is to educate children and parents, youths and teachers to avoid risks while using digital and mobile technologies.

Our activities:

Produced web resource with links to and a collection of teaching materials on e-safety and social networking http://safe.am 

Produced Internet Safety Guide for Teachers, Parents and Children,

Disseminated teaching materials and other resources about safe and responsible use of the Internet,

Organized workshops for school teachers, parents and children,

Carried out information campaigns,

Organized news conferences and other media events,

Announced competitions and encouraged children to prepare their own electronic materials. 

We work towards a wider Safer Internet Armenia project in cooperation with Internet Society of Armenia, World Vision Armenia, Bridge of Hope, Public Radio of Armenia, Noyan Tapan Media Holding, IT and Women organizations, public authorities and industry partners.  Read more about our activities and events this year...
